Sup kiddies, it's been a few years since my last journal here eh? 


I recently wrapped up my final year project at animSchool, just a fun animated short about adventures and monsters;; if any of you wanted to keep up with what I've been doing, here it is!



If any of you guys have been around since the early-ish days, maybe you'll recognize the rehashed Digimon fan story characters from 2009!!

and also, if any of you are film/anim students, maybe you'd get a kick out of my production blog. It's filled with disappointing in-progress stuff, a bit of ranting and complaining, some concept stuff. I dunno, I always found them super entertaining valuable resources for learning!

Due to how well received my last Dress-up Game has been (+Thanks), and the number of comments I've gotten about potentially doing another along the same theme, so I'm taking people's suggestions, and am making a Male version.

So I've begun the process of drawing things up, but at this point I'm a little lost as to what to include clothingwise;;
I'm an guy, and drawing _sexy swimmer-men actually totally creeps me out haha. BUTBUT, if something has been suggested, then I at least know that I'm drawing things for a reason.

The theme is the same as in the (lady version) DressUp Game, (post-apoc, lots of water) and so if you've got any thoughts for man-equivalent categories, clothing items and clothing options (or anything at all related):

Also, I've got a special mission for anyone who is into critiquing & stuff; I'm just looking for outside perspective on anything that can be improved/implemented/modified, in areas like the Interface and Menu Layouts.
In the male game, I'm going to use the same menu style/colours as the female, so that they're consistent with one another. However, there were a few areas which generated frustration in the last game: like the undergarments(bikinis) getting in the way of other stackable items. Likewise, things like Menu:Overclothes -> Leggings;; somehow generated 4-5 comments, because I guess the (universal) colour buttons and (legging embellishment) colour buttons were confusing.

Really I'm just looking to keep what's good, and fix up anything which isn't, and I could use a bit of help on that front; as my having spent far too long on the old file means that I know exactly where everything is, what code is on it, and so I'm biased and just need fresh eyes haha :I.

Secondly: Thanks to everyone who's taken interest in the Waivera story.
I'm actually most surprised about this, but I've got quite a number of comments wanting more infos and stuff haha. I've only got a few things for it lying around, and so I'm patching them up, even as I type this, and will try to post them later this week.

God it's been a while; like... nearly a year since I did a journal on dA.

UPDATE:
So I guess for those who don't know, I've spent the last year living and working in Canada with the lovely Antilamonn. It's been a hell of an experience, and a total culture shock, coming from a little island at the bottom of the Pacific, coming to the big North America.

Learning things like how to traverse the Metro system, despite never having been underground before, and then exploring 4 storey high Shopping centers, only to find out that I'm still underground. Dealing with the foreign language barrier, fighting heat waves and 2 months later, snow storms; driving on the wrong side of the road, discovering god does exist and his name is actually Poutine, and discovering that McDonalds Cheeseburgers still taste better back home.
From selling fake perfume out the back of a car, or Halloween merchandise out of a storage container depot, to selling air conditioning insurance across Canada; I've met a lot of cool and diverse people, and I've lost count of the times I've tried to explain that NewZealand is that island next to, but not part of Australia, nor Europe, nor South America, nor Asia or Australia (I need to say it two times because it seemed to pop up a lot).
It's been a really fun year, though it's starting to draw to a close with my VISA expiring next month; which means I'll be heading back home, at l;east until I've gotten myself residency and can stay up there permanentlyyy.

I guess yeah; if I needed to justify having a relatively silent year on dA; it's 'cos I've been doing things abroad


OTHER STUFF
In the meantime, I've created a blog. Whatever I don't post on dA, I post there; more frequently and hastily. I'll try updating it with sketches or WIPs or something, maybe, possibly in the future;
